On Tuesday, August 2nd, there will be a special election to fill the Congressional seat vacated by Rob Portman. This is a great opportunity to pick up a seat in the House of Representatives and show the Republican Party that Ohio is tired of there policies and majority rule in Washington.

Paul Hackett, a former Marine Major and veteran of the Iraqi War is running a strong campaign to take back the Second District in southern Ohio. He has stood up and told the people of Ohio that he will not be a rubber stamp for the Bush administration and that he has an exit strategy for the continuing conflict in Iraq.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democratic National Committee, Ohio Democratic Party, and the Hamilton County Democratic Party are working closely on a coordinated Get Out the Vote effort.
